Zori Timeless
The Zori estate from above: four residences, the restaurant and the jetty on Vinogradišće bay, Palmižana
The destination

Palmižana.
The quiet, contemporary side.

A bay on Sveti Klement, ten minutes by boat from Hvar town. The Pakleni Islands. Pine, salt, the open Adriatic.

Where is Palmižana?

The Pakleni Islands sit just off the western tip of Hvar. Sveti Klement is the largest of them. Zori is on its southern side, in the bay of Vinogradišće: sheltered clear water, ringed by pine and rosemary, far enough from Hvar town to belong to a different week.

We do not advertise the destination as something to do. There is nothing here to do, on purpose. The reason people come is the same reason they keep coming back: the bay is small, the sea is clear, the light is slow, and the noise of the rest of the coast does not reach.

Vinogradišće bay, Sveti Klement and the Pakleni Islands

Vinogradišće bay beach on Palmižana, Pakleni Islands, near Hvar

The bay

Vinogradišće is shallow at the shore, turquoise at noon, gold at dusk. The bay is small enough that walks between residences are measured in steps, not minutes.

Pine forest of Sveti Klement island, Pakleni Islands, Croatia

The island

Sveti Klement is the largest of the Pakleni islets. Mostly pine, rosemary and unmarked footpaths. The bay sits on its southern face.

The boat crossing between Hvar town and Palmižana, ten minutes by sea

The crossing

Ten minutes by boat from the marina in Hvar town. The crossing is the prelude to Zori. Once it is behind you, the rest of the coast goes quiet.

Palmižana beach at Vinogradišće bay: shallow clear water and pine, Pakleni Islands

The beach

Vinogradišće is the beach of Palmižana: shallow, clear and sandy-bottomed at the shore, ringed by pine. It is open to everyone who crosses, busiest at midday in summer, and quiet again by late afternoon. The residences sit directly above it; guests swim before the day boats arrive and after they leave.

Open Adriatic horizon west of Palmižana, Pakleni Islands

The horizon

West of Palmižana, the open Adriatic begins. Nothing between the western terrace of Horizon residence and the next bit of land for a long way.
